The HELP Learning Center Foundation, Inc. has established rehabilitation and special education centers in partnership with the local government in the following area:
**NAGA CITY
Naga City is located within the heartland of the province of Camarines Sur, about 337 km south of Manila and 100 km north of Legaspi City. It has a land area of 8448 hectares and a projected population of 140,000 people by 2004.
Statistics for incidence of disabilities places Naga City at 847 disabled population both young and adults. Naga City was the site of the JICA Japanese International Cooperation project of screening and early detection of disabilities, where a house to house survey of children with disabilities and congenital anomalies ages 19 years and below was done by the Barangay Health Workers (BHW’s). Results of that study showed 204 children with disabilities and congenital anomalies.
